How to Apply?

Before you start, you will need to know:

• Attendance dates of any higher education institute you have attended.
• ACT scores and dates.

There is a $20 Application Fee that has to be paid before we can start to process your application. If applying online, you will have the opportunity to pay online after submitting your application.

• Online students can request an exemption for personal reasons "will not be attending classes on campus".

Students can receive transfer credits for a variety of reasons. LSUA will make every effort to award students transfer credit from regionally accredited schools, approved testing agencies, military experience, or other approved methods in a manner that is consistent with transfer procedures.

Official transcripts or test scores must be sent directly from the institution or agency awarding the credit or score. This includes any attempts of college credit such as high school dual enrollment, CLEP or AP test score, or JST (Joint Service Transcripts).

 

1. Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). This is a federal application that will qualify you for any grants, loans, or other financial benefits. You can apply at www.fafsa.ed.gov.
   • Please include LSUA’s school code: 002011.

• LSUA should receive your information within 3 weeks of an electronic submission of the FAFSA. Once we receive your information, you will receive a letter from our Enrollment Management office. You may need to provide our office with additional information. If you do, please return the requested information as soon as possible so that we can process your financial aid request.
