The Central Louisiana Collections consists of records, papers, and collections of families and organizations that tell the story of life in Central Louisiana. All researchers are welcome.
Policies for Visiting the Archives at LSUA
- Appointments are not required but are strongly recommended for the best possible service. Please call archivist Megan Lord to schedule your appointment.
- Researchers may request materials for viewing. Please see "Central Louisiana List of Collections" to plan your requests.
- LSUA Central Louisiana Special Collections materials are non-circulating and can only be used in the Reading Room in Bolton Library.
- Items that can be taken into the Reading Room include pencils, notepaper or notebooks, laptops, tablets/pads, cameras, chargers, and cell phones. Food, drinks, pens, and other personal items like bags, briefcases, purses, laptop or camera cases, outerwear,
and umbrellas should be left in a secure place.
- Unprocessed collections materials may be used only with permission from the archivist, who can assist with this process.
- Patrons may photograph archival and manuscript materials (without flash) after completing a Camera User Policy Form, obtained from archivist.
- Duplication and digitization services are available for a fee. Duplication and digitization is for personal or research use only.
