Student Orientation

Orientation is mandatory for all new students entering LSUA with less than 30 earned credit hours. LSUA's Student Ambassadors guide new freshmen through a full day to teach them the ins and outs of being a General.

As a new freshmen, we know starting college can be overwhelming. So, you'll be teamed up with some of our Ambassadors who have mastered the art of being a college student. You'll attend breakout sessions specific to your interests. If you're a student athlete, majoring in the arts, want to know tips to working while being a full-time student, or just want to get involved on campus, our Ambassadors will show you the way. You'll also attended sessions with professionals from the Financial Aid office to learn about how scholarships, grants, TOPS, loans, and other types of aid is processed and what is expected of you to maintain eligibility. A favorite part of orientation is meeting with your Academic Department. You'll get to meet other students, professors, and your department chair to talk and ask questions specific to your major.

New Student Orientation is a day full of high energy activities, school spirit, information sessions, and everything you need to know to be a successful student at LSUA! Incoming freshmen will need to register for orientation through myLSUA.
