Major Field Tests
Currently, the departments below require their graduates to take a major field test.

- Criminal Justice
- Psychology
- Biology
- Math
- Chemistry
How can I register for my Major Field Exam?
- All students registering for a major field test should fill out an application which can be requested from their department.
- Students should indicate on the application whether they prefer to test at the LSUA Testing Center or by remote proctor (ProctorU).
- After completing the application, students should return/send the application to both their department and the LSUA Testing Center (testingcenter@lsua.edu).
- Students can schedule an on-campus appointment at www.registerblast.com/lsua/exam
- Students testing remotely will receive an email from MFTSupport@testsys.com with instructions on how to proceed.
- Appointments must be made 24 hours in advance.
- Arrive 15-20 minutes before testing begins.
- Do not forget to bring a valid picture I.D. (such as a driver's license, student Oakcard, military I.D., etc.)
Major Field Tests
- Two hour computer-based assessment of knowledge of major field, given to graduates with bachelor's degrees in Business, Criminal Justice, Psychology, Biology, Math, and Chemistry. **This test is only required for those earning a Bachelor's degree**
Where can I take the test?
- Students may test at the LSUA Testing Center or by remote proctor. Online students who are graduating in one of the participating departments can take the major field test remotely though ProctorU. Students should request an application from their department and return/send the completed application to both their department and the LSUA Testing Center (testingcenter@lsua.edu).
