The LSUA Career Center hosted its largest Career Fair in history on September 18th at the LSUA campus. The new edition of the fair welcomed over 70 companies and approximately 400 students who explored the booths from 9 in the morning until 2 in the afternoon. According to data received from surveys of attendees, the fair received a 90 percent satisfaction rate from both companies and students.
The event allowed students to interact with local, regional, and national companies and learn about opportunities to advance their professional careers in various sectors and industries in the world of work. The Career Fair featured companies and government organizations such as Roy O'Martin, CLECO, Ingalls Information Security, the City of Alexandria, United Way, among others. Many of the attending companies strongly contribute to the development of Louisiana, the region and the nation. A remarkable ingredient of the Fair was that an LSUA student was part of a top company's booth as a hired intern.
Following the success of the Fall 2023 Career Fair, the LSUA Career Center continues to actively work to support the professional development of LSUA students. The Career Center thanks all the companies, partners, and students who attended the LSUA Career Fair to make it such a successful event for our community.
