The Louisiana State University of Alexandria has partnered with the Louisiana Department of Health (LDH) to provide rapid COVID-19 tests in the LSUA Health Center for everyone on campus.
LSUA was successful in obtaining ample test kits that are now available for use for students and employees. All faculty, staff, and students are encouraged to be tested weekly as they return to campus, or as often as needed. After a holiday season with travel and interaction with family and friends, it is even more essential that all precautions are taken.
These rapid tests will be available all semester and will be free of cost, whether symptoms are present or not. The Health Center is open Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Walk in appointments are welcome or appointments can be made by calling 318-427-0110.
To do everything possible to stay safe, the LSUA campus will also continue to socially distance, wear masks, wash hands frequently, sanitize common surfaces daily and complete the daily symptom checker that will continue to be made available through the LSU alert system.
