Dr. Thomas Howell will read from and discuss his book, Soldiers of the Pen.
Dr. Howell, now retired, is a graduate of Louisiana College and a history teacher with 52 years at LC and William Jewell College in Missouri.
He has a fascination with World War II history. Here Dr. Howell's account of the Writers War Board (WWB) and how this small group of influential media figures volunteered their services to create propaganda for government agencies from 1942 to 1945. The WWB. had quite an impact on our nation's wartime culture and history.
The event will be in Coughlin Hall at LSUA on Sunday, April 7 at 2:00pm. The event is free and open to the public.
