Bachelor of Science in Long Term Care Administration

The Bachelor of Science in Long Term Care Administration prepares students to apply managerial principles to the administration of nursing homes, assisted living facilities, adult day care, home health services, and other long term care settings serving the elderly and disabled. The program provides instruction in social and clinical aspects of aging, health care delivery systems, nursing home administration, aging policy and government programs, ethics, and business management. In addition, to meet degree requirements students are required to complete an internship in Long Term Care Administration, consisting of a minimum of 1,040 clock hours, at an approved internship site. As the population continues to age, a dramatic demand for healthcare services is anticipated in the United States. Upon graduation, students will be highly sought after to meet the rising workforce demands.
