LPN to ASN

The LPN to Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) track is designed to further an LPN’s professional education and transition to the role of a registered nurse (RN). The LPN to ASN track includes one semester of pre-requisite courses; the length of the clinical program is three to four semesters and varies based on successful completion of competency testing. The pre-requisites courses are offered face to face with some offerings available online. Required nursing courses are face to face on the LSUA campus with clinical sites located in Rapides Parish. Following admission to the University, a student is assigned a nursing advisor who will help students develop a curriculum plan that charts his or her path through the application process of the nursing program.
