Student Worker - Human Resource Management

Student

Human Resource Management is currently seeking a student worker for Summer 2025. The student worker must be Work-Study eligible and meet the following qualifications:

Be a full time student in Spring and Fall Semester
Have a minimum GPA of 2.0

Greet visitors and assist or direct them to the appropriate HR Staff

Answer department telephone calls and assist or transfer as needed

Maintain files for personnel folders, leave folders, etc.

Run errands, including picking up and sorting mail

Maintain a supply of new employee hire packets and various forms

Make new folders or labels when directed

Maintain scanning documents

Compile requested information from personnel files as requested

Assist HRM Staff as needed

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Have a general knowledge of word processing equipment

Have good work ethic and show initiative

Professional Employees - Administrative officers and professional staff that are generally exempt from the provisions of the State Civil Service System. This category is formerly referred to as Unclassified Employees.
Classified Employees - Employees in positions covered by the provisions of Louisiana State Civil Service System.
Other Academic Employees - Part-time members of the academic staff or full-time members of instructional or research staff below the rank of Instructor. Examples are part-time instructors, teaching or research associates, library associates, lecturers, etc.
