The LSUA Department of Criminal Justice along with the Rapides Parish District Attorney’s Office held a Criminal Law Institute today on campus.
The institute is the first of its kind and it brings together all areas of criminal justice in order to enhance training for officers throughout Central Louisiana.
The agenda featured Rapides Parish District Attorney Phillip Terrell speaking in the morning followed by sessions covering probation and parole, search and seizure, legislative updates, DWI and forfeitures.
The DA’s office and LSUA hope to expand the program next year and make it a yearly event.
