Scholarship

Freshmen/Transfer Students

Scholarships are awarded based on a variety of criteria such as academic performance, leadership, and community involvement. Scholarships may be awarded by the university or through an outside agency.

Beginning the Fall 2014 semester all on campus students will be considered for the LSUA Academic Scholarship.  The scholarship will be based on your official academic credentials (SAT/ACT & GPA) and is contingent upon your application and acceptance.

If you are a first time freshmen, fill out the Scholarship Calculator to see what you qualify for.

Transfer students with a 2.5-2.9 GPA qualify for $1000 per year and with a 3.0+ GPA qualify for $1500 per year.

Please note that the criteria and amount for a scholarship are subject to change. Students in 100% online programs do not receive LSUA scholarships.

Students must maintain the following criteria;

  • full time enrollment (12+ hours per semester),
  • earn 24 or more hours at the end of the year, and
  • maintain a cumulative GPA of a 2.5 or greater to retain any LSUA Academic scholarship.

International Student Scholarship

Awards are based on merit (such factors as academic achievement, leadership, extracurricular activities, awards and honors, employment, volunteerism and community service).

Eligibility

  • Must be a full-time (12 hours) continuing International student (F1-Visa) at LSUA.
  • Must be in good standing with his or her academic program with a minimum overall GPA of 3.5, earned at least 30 credits,
  • Have been enrolled at LSUA for at least two full semesters (not counting the current semester).

Honors Experience

The Honors Experience at LSUA is a unique opportunity for qualified students to obtain valuable experience that will help them establish, pursue and achieve long-term goals. Significant scholarship funds are provided to help students as they design their paths to success.

Eligible students are incoming first-time, full-time, degree-seeking freshmen who are on campus (rather than 100% online). Full-time students are enrolled in a minimum of 12 credit hours per semester. Students from all bachelor’s or associate’s program at LSUA will be considered for admission.
