Program Fee - Exchange Student (J-1)

 

Tuition and fees charges are waived for visiting scholars who would like to observe classes. Visiting Scholars are responsible for the following costs, per semester:

On-Campus Housing $3,995
Housing application, security deposit and fee $325
Meal-Plan $1,625

Health Insurance and Health Center

Living and personal expenses (estimate)$1,000 - $2,000
LSUA Exchange Visitor Program Fee$200

Please Note: The estimated expenses are for one full academic semester (Fall or Spring). The estimate is based on the 2020-2021 academic year and is subject to change.

The additional minimum funding requirements for the issuance of a United States visa for a spouse and dependent child are as follows: ​

  • $500 per month for spouse; and ​
  • $200 per month per dependent child
