The cardiovascular system is made up of the heart, blood, and blood vessels, and works to circulate oxygenated blood throughout the body. The work of a cardiovascular technologist is to assist physicians and provide aid in the diagnosis and treatment of heart and blood vessel issues. Cardiovascular technologist may specialize in areas such as invasive, noninvasive, and vascular cardiology. Students at LSUA will obtain the knowledge necessary to work in hospitals or clinics throughout the country.
