Matthew Farley is a proud graduate of the LSUA School of Nursing program. Upon graduating he obtained his first job on a progressive care unit and immediately began the pursuit of obtaining his Bachelor’s degree through LSUA. During his initial time as a staff nurse, he was provided an opportunity to train a new nurse graduate, he credits this to what initially sparked his passion for nursing education. This spark is what led him to pursue his Master’s degree in Nursing Education. Over the years he has served in a variety of roles within the clinical setting including: staff nurse, charge nurse, clinical coordinator and clinical educator. During his initial time as a staff nurse, he successfully obtained certifications in progressive care, as well as cardiac medicine. He is married to Sarah, also an LSUA school of nursing graduate, and they share two children. In his spare time, he enjoys history, reading, and cinema.
