Louisiana State University of Alexandria's (LSUA) Career Center is excited to announce a new partnership with Forage, a leading virtual career platform that connects students with top companies for free through virtual experience programs designed to simulate real industry tasks. This collaboration will provide LSUA students with unparalleled access to some of the most sought-after employers in the country.
“Student success at LSUA includes career exploration, preparation and placement. Our new Center for Career Development will play a central role in providing a student experience that situates them for optimal success after graduation.” Dr Rowan, Provost and Vice Chancellor of Academic Affairs, said. “The partnership with Forage will be an important component of this initiative.”
Forage's virtual experiences are designed to be interactive, giving students a realistic view of what it's like to work at the company, enabling them to know company leaders and be eligible for future internships. This approach and focus on developing practical skills will help students stand out in the job market, discover career paths, and increase their chances of getting hired by being career ready.
The LSUA Career Center is already working closely with our different departments to implement relevant courses offered by Forage in the curriculum of certain academic programs, allowing students to put what they learned into practice into assignments.
