Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies with concentration in Public Relations

Students pursuing a public relations concentration within the Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies will have plenty of opportunities to make their mark before ever leaving campus. The program recently created its own internal public relations company on campus headed by students and providing hands-on experience. Students also have the opportunity to attend conferences with professors throughout the southeast. At the most recent Southern Public Relations Federation conference, LSUA students took home first place in the student competition and bested others from schools such as Mississippi Stater University. Students will graduate with the skills necessary to be successful practitioners in planning and executing the building of relationships and conditions to advance an organization or enterprise.
