#VaxThatA - LSUA's Push to Protect our Campus from COVID-19
This fall semester, LSUA is instituting an incentive program for all students, faculty and staff who receive the COVID-19 vaccine. The safety of our campus remains our top focus as we continue to provide the highest level of education to our students. We know that currently one of the best ways to minimize the spread of COVID-19, as well as minimizing severe symptoms and health issues, is to receive the vaccine. As such, we hope this program provides a bit of levity and fun to an otherwise difficult time in our history. COVID-19 remains a serious health concern to all of us and we take seriously the responsibility of providing a safe and secure environment to our students, faculty and staff.
So, how does it work? Simple. Receive the COVID-19 vaccine, then complete the survey linked below. You will then be eligible to win one of our great prizes!

For students:
Week 1: The first week of class, the prize basket includes LSUA swag and several gift cards.

For Faculty/Staff:
It's not quite as exciting as the student prizes (I mean, students come first right?), however, we will be giving away an Apple iPad Air during the week 5 giveaway!
The first drawing for students will take place on Friday, August 27th at 1:00 during Weeks of Welcome (WoW).
Where to get the vaccine on campus?
The Health Center located in Coughlin Hall.
Moderna vaccine will be available throughout the fall semester.
It is recommended to call the Health Center at 427-0110 to make an appointment.
Appointments can be made during these hours:
Monday through Friday
8:30 am to 11:00 am
1:00 pm to 3:00 pm
(closed for lunch from 12:00-12:30)

- Vaccination can be received from any provider. Use of the campus health center is not required.
- Selection of winners based on random draw using random.org.
- Each drawing will be videoed and verified by three LSUA staff members.
- Vaccination status will be verified prior to prizes awarded. If vaccinated in Louisiana, vaccination status will be confirmed electronically. If vaccinated outside of Louisiana, documentation (that can be independently verified) must be provided. If vaccination cannot be verified, a subsequent random drawing will be held until a winner is selected.
- Entry in to the giveaway is possible after the first vaccination dose. LSUA strongly encourages that both doses are received by all students, faculty and staff.
- Students must be 18 years of age at the time of vaccination.Students must be enrolled in traditional on-campus programs for fall 2021 (full- or part-time). Students in 100% online degree programs are not currently eligible -- although vaccination is still strongly encouraged.
- Dual enrollment students not eligible.
- Staff members who are also enrolled as a part-time student are eligible for the faculty/staff giveaway; not the student giveaways.
- The winner each week will not be eligible for future drawings.
- All giveaway items provided by the LSUA Foundation using private funding.
