Supportive Measures
LSUA offers appropriate and reasonable supportive measures to all parties upon notice of alleged sexual misconduct, discrimination, or retaliation.
Supportive measures are non-punitive individualized services offered as appropriate and reasonably available and without fee or charge to the parties to restore and preserve access to the University’s programs or activity.
The Title IX Coordinator will make supportive measures available to the parties upon receiving notice or a complaint. The Title IX Coordinator will work with the complainant to ensure that their wishes are taken into account with respect to the supportive measures.
The University will maintain the privacy of the supportive measures, provided that privacy does not impair the University’s ability to implement the measures. The measures will be implemented in a way that does not unreasonably burden either party.
Please note, that complainants can receive supportive measures without submitting a formal complaint.
Measures may include, but are not limited to:
Referral to counseling, medical, and/or other healthcare services
Referral to community-based service providers
Visa and immigration assistance
Student financial aid counseling
Altering campus housing assignment(s)
Altering work arrangements for employees or student-employees
