Residential Life
The Residential Life Staff is a group of talented, hard-working students and professional staff members who work with our residents. Our goal is to make a student’s on-campus living experience meaningful and rewarding to everyone. The staff members, as described below, are here to support you and are available for assistance while you stay on campus.

Director of Residential Life
The Director of Residential Life ensures each student has a welcoming, positive campus experience. This includes overseeing the building maintenance and enforcing the Community Guide and the LSUA Student Code of Conduct.
Community Coordinator
The Community Coordinator for Residential Life is our live-on staff member responsible for cultivating an engaging community at The Oaks. The Community Coordinator implements programming events and provides support to our residents.
Hall Directors
The Oaks employs two Hall Directors annually. These positions represent high-level student employment opportunities, typically filled by experienced Resident Assistants. Each Hall Director oversees operations for two residence buildings and mentors half of our Resident Assistant staff.
Resident Assistants
Resident Assistants (RAs) are your primary resource while living in the Oaks Apartments. Each building has two RAs—one for each side—who live in the building and serve as your first point of contact. You can find your RA's information in the Housing office. RAs have many important responsibilities: they help with move-in and move-out, create educational programs, staff the Front Desk, perform building room checks, and lead their building in the LSUA Building War Competition. They also serve in an after-hours on-call rotation, ensuring residents have 24/7 access to staff support. As role models, RAs connect you to campus resources, offer advice about student life, help resolve maintenance and roommate concerns, and enforce policies—all to create a safe and fun living and learning environment.
