National Student Exchange
Experience Study Away with the National Student Exchange (NSE)
The National Student Exchange gives LSUA students the opportunity to study at one of 160+ universities across the U.S., Canada, Puerto Rico, Guam, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Through this program, you can take courses and access experiences not available at LSUA—whether to explore a new region, be closer to family, or participate in special academic programs and internships.

You can study away for a semester or a full academic year. Some host universities also offer study abroad opportunities for NSE students. Browse study abroad opportunities here: https://nse.org/study-abroad, and check out upcoming virtual NSE fairs: https://nse.org/campuses.
Payment Plans
NSE offers two tuition plans:
Home Pay (Preferred): You pay LSUA tuition and fees, but are responsible for housing and travel costs at the host university.
Host Pay: You pay tuition directly to the host institution.
LSUA students receive financial aid through LSUA under both plans. Note: Home pay may limit your options, as host schools only accept as many home pay students as they send out. Host pay generally offers more placement flexibility.
Most universities require:
A minimum 2.5 GPA
Full-time enrollment
Good academic standing
