LSUA Graduates Largest Class in School History

A record 266 students walked across the stage for Commencement.

LSUA held its Spring Commencement Ceremony in the Rapides Coliseum on Thursday, May 10 at 10:00am.

A total of 269 degrees were conferred to 266 graduates making it the largest graduating class in university history. The ceremony was presided over by LSUA Chancellor Guiyou Huang. 

“We are proud of the hard work of all of our graduates,” says Dr. Huang. “While graduation is a milestone to be celebrated, it is just the beginning of the rest of our graduates’ lives. We look forward to seeing what our graduates accomplish and celebrating their successes with them.”

Senator W. Jay Luneau delivered the ceremony’s keynote address. Luneau, who is serving his second term in the Senate, is a lifelong resident of central Louisiana. He is a graduate of Pineville High School, Louisiana Tech University, and Southern Law Center. He and his wife, Carman, have two children.
