First Time Freshman

Within Reach.

Without Limits.

We are now Test Optional!

Students looking to apply to LSU of Alexandria no longer have to submit a standardized test score (ACT/SAT) for admissions. As a selective admissions institution, LSUA offers multiple pathways to allow students the opportunity to become an LSUA General. We encourage all students interested in attending LSUA to apply and let our Admissions Counselors assist you through the admissions journey.

Test-Optional Admissions Criteria

Applicants will be considered for test-optional admissions based on the following criteria:

  1. Academic Transcript Evaluation – Students with a minimum of a 2.75 Overall High School GPA and completion of the Louisiana TOPS University Curriculum.
  2. Academic Transcript Evaluation – Students with a minimum of a 3.0 Overall High School GPA and completion of the Louisiana Jumpstart Curriculum.

Should I still send all of my test scores to LSUA?

Yes! Here at LSUA providing standardized test scores can only help students. Test scores (ACT, SAT, or Accuplacer) help students qualify for Academic Scholarships, receive college credit, and place into required classes.

Not a resident of Louisiana?
