Bachelor of Science in Medical Laboratory Science

The Bachelor of Science in Medical Laboratory Science provides students with the opportunity to acquire the theoretical and practical skills required for the entry-level practice of medical laboratory science. Under the supervision of a medical lab scientist, pathologist, or physician, the MLT performs routine laboratory procedures in hematology, parasitology, bacteriology, immunology and serology, immunohematology, chemistry, and urinalysis. The program prepares students to successfully pass a national certification exam and once completed, may apply for positions within hospitals, clinics, industry, and labs. Additionally, the program boasts a 100 percent job placement rate for its graduates over the previous two years.
