The James C. Bolton Library is a vital academic hub, providing students, faculty, and staff with the resources and services needed to support academic success and lifelong learning. Conveniently located at the heart of campus, the library offers a welcoming environment for research, study, and collaboration.

Student Services

Bolton Library offers a range of student services, including research assistance provided by knowledgeable librarians who help students navigate resources and study rooms and collaborative spaces available for group projects, presentations, and study sessions. The library is equipped with computer workstations, printing services, and access to high-speed Wi-Fi.

Tutoring Center

The Tutoring Center, located on the first floor of the Bolton Library, offers both on-campus and virtual tutoring services for math, science, and writing subjects. Our dedicated team provides support through in-person sessions and online, with flexible hours to accommodate student schedules.

University Archives

The LSUA University Archives houses photographs, yearbooks, and university memorabilia that tell the history of LSUA while the Central Louisiana Special Collections consists of newspapers, records, manuscripts, and collections of families and organizations that tell the story of life in Central Louisiana.

Faculty & Staff Resources

The library offers convenient tools to support departmental needs. Access the Course Reserve form to make materials available for students, or submit a Printing Approval Form for on-campus printing or Makerspace requests.

Information Requests

Information Request Services provides crucial support for academic programs, including accreditation assistance and Library Impact reporting. Staff can help with library-specific documentation, resources evaluation, and curriculum development needs through various services tailored to faculty and departmental requirements.

LSUA Makerspace

LSUA’s Makerspace, located within Bolton Library, offers students the opportunity to explore innovative technologies, including 3D printing, coding, and creative design. The Makerspace fosters hands-on learning and experimentation, providing a unique environment where ideas can come to life.

Database & Digital Access

Bolton Library provides access to an extensive collection of print and digital resources, including:

  • A vast selection of books, periodicals, and academic journals spanning various disciplines.

  • Electronic databases and research tools that enable students to explore peer-reviewed articles, scholarly publications, and other digital materials.

  • Interlibrary loan services, allowing access to resources from libraries across the region and beyond.
