Roadmap to Admissions

You've Been Accepted

  • Once you have been either admitted or conditionally admitted, contact the Advising Center at 318-767-2604 to schedule an appointment with one of our academic advisors, who will explain your curriculum and help you plan your schedule.
  • Register for an orientation session, where you will learn more about the University. You will get a thorough tour of the campus, find out about services available to students, learn about your responsibilities as a student at LSUA, and have the opportunity to register for your classes (provided you have seen your advisor and been authorized to register).
  • Apply for student housing. Contact them at: housing.lsua.edu
  • Pay for your classes! You must have a class schedule to pay tuition and fees. Through SelfService, you may accept and apply financial aid to your account, select a payment plan, or pay with any major credit card. If you need additional assistance with paying your fees, please contact the Enrollment Management office prior to the first week of classes.
  • Move into your apartment! Meet new people and get ready for your first semester.
  • Visit the bookstore and buy your textbooks for class. The bookstore also carries LSUA apparel and miscellaneous merchandise you may need as a student.
  • Go to class! During the first week of classes, look for welcome tents strategically placed around campus where LSUA faculty and staff will answer questions, provide free cold drinks and snacks, and give directions to classes
