Audition Times Set for the Empty Space Players' Production of Company

by Sarah Black | Nov 15, 2018
Auditions being held now for next spring's theatrical production.

LSUA’s Empty Space Players will hold auditions for the spring production of Company on Friday, November 30 and Saturday, December 1 at 6:00pm on both days.

A winner of seven Tony Awards, Stephen Sondheim’s groundbreaking musical is a wildly funny look at relationships. Over a series of dinner parties, dates, and conversations with his friends, the perennially single Bobby attempts to understand the pros and cons of marriage and the meaning of the word “commitment.”

Those auditioning are required to prepare and perform one Broadway-style song. Taped accompaniment is acceptable, and a piano accompanist will be available. If using piano accompanist, please be prepared to provide the pianist with a set of sheet music in the correct key. Those auditioning are also asked to prepare a brief monologue or they will be asked to do cold readings from the script. Audition forms may be filled out at the audition.

Performances will be April 4 through April 14, 2019 on Thursday through Sunday in the Richard Gwartney Theatre at LSUA.
