Cavanagh Lecture Series

The Cavanaugh Lecture Series continues with a look at local history.

LSUA, the Rapides Parish Library, and the Friends of the Rapides Parish Library are proud to present Hometown History: The Ins and Outs of Local History as the latest installment of the Cavanaugh Lecture Series.

Dr. V. Elaine Thompson will give the presentation on Thursday, March 23 at 6:00pm at the Westside Library. Thompson is an assistant professor in the History Department at Louisiana Tech University.

Thompson is also the author of Clinton, Louisiana: Society, Politics and Race Relations in a Nineteenth-Century Southern Small Town.
