LSUA Student Interns With Vance McAllister

LSUA student Stephanie Parker completes summer internship with Vance McAllister.

Rising LSUA senior Stephanie Parker recently completed serving an internship with United States Representative Vance McAllister (R).

Parker served as an intern in McAllister’s Alexandria office doing case work for constituents and working with federal agencies such as FEMA and the VA.

She credits professors such as Dr. Christopher Stacey, Dr. Jim Rogers and Dr. Kerry Ordes with inspiring her to find a passion after seeing their passion for what they do.   

Parker is majoring in History with a minor in Political Science and hopes to either attend law school or enter politics immediately after graduation.

Parker expects to receive her degree in December.

    Students who want to accelerate their college experience can begin taking fast-track courses this fall at the Learning Center for Rapides Parish. The four- and eight-week courses will be offered by LSU Alexandria.
