GAA Holds Skeet Shoot

by Sarah Black | Jul 11, 2014
The GAA's first ever skeet shoot is set for the middle of August.

The Generals Athletic Association is holding it’s first ever skeet shoot on Saturday, August 16 in order to raise funds for the LSUA Athletics Department.

The event takes place at the Bayou Boeuf Skeet Club Range in Lecompte.  Registration begins at 8:00am, followed by check-in at 8:45am and the official start at 9:00am.

Participants will receive a t-shirt and lunch.  Prizes are also being awarded to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place teams.  Participants also will have eye and ear protection provided.

The cost is $100 per shooter with a five-man team required. Fifty clay targets will be provided per contestant with participants brining their own ammo. A donation of $100 will allow a company to have their name on a sign at a shooting station and $750 will allow your company’s name to appear on a banner and earn one team into the competition.

The Lewis Scoring System will be used to determine the winners.

To register, visit www.active.com and search for the LSUA skeet shoot.  Call 473-6475 for more information.  The deadline for registration is August 9.
