We're excited to announce plans to reopen for on-campus instruction this fall. As we return to traditional on-campus operations, we want to assure the LSUA community that safety is our guidepost. We will follow all CDC and state safety guidance, and will do everything possible to protect the health of our students, faculty and staff.
This comprehensive document includes information on our guiding principles as we return to campus as well as our plans to keep everyone safe and healthy, including specific guides for students and employees.Read
Will meet in person, on campus, for every class session. Each classroom will only be filled to 50% room capacity to ensure physical distancing.
The only change to the academic calendar is that the University will transition to entirely remote instruction after Thanksgiving Break, which starts on November 25th at 12:30 PM. This means that one week of classes and finals week will be conducted entirely online or remotely. This also applies to entirely on-campus courses and hyflex courses. The University will still have Fall Break, which is October 1st and 2nd.
Every class will be equipped to support remote learning. If you are sick, do not come to campus. It is imperative that you stay home if you are sick. In the instances when you do not attend class in person, you must attend remotely. If you attend remotely, you will not be penalized. Your professor can see who has signed into the class's remote section via Zoom.
