Students can receive transfer credits for a variety of reasons. LSUA will make every effort to award students transfer credit from regionally accredited schools, approved testing agencies, military experience, or other approved methods in a manner that is consistent with transfer procedures and that helps the student reach their educational goals in the most direct way.
Official transcripts or test scores must be sent directly from the institution or agency awarding the credit or score.
Evaluation of transcripts will occur as transcripts are received. Processing will be done in the order in which files are complete. Admitted students will be able to view their transcript evaluation through the Self-Service portal once they have registered for classes. An LSUA transcript cannot be released unless it contains LSU Alexandria courses.
Questions about transfer credit should be directed to the Coordinator of Transfer and Adult Learning:

Courses that have already been evaluated will show in the list and will indicate how LSU Alexandria will transfer that specific course. Courses with asterisks (*) in the course number do not have direct equivalent courses at LSUA. These courses may be used as free electives or your advisor may request a course substitution if appropriate.
