Associate of Science (Pre-Engineering)

The LSUA Pre-Engineering program provides a strong foundation for students pursuing engineering degrees, supported by dedicated faculty committed to personalized education and mentorship. Through a unique agreement with LSU, students complete pre-engineering coursework at LSUA before transferring to LSU to earn Bachelor of Science degrees in disciplines such as Civil, Chemical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or Computer Science. To transfer, students must meet criteria including 30 transferable credit hours with a minimum 2.5 GPA, required credits in college-level Math and English, and completion of 36 core Pre-Engineering courses or a 60-hour Associate of Science degree. LSUA’s program ensures students are well-prepared for a seamless transition to LSU and future engineering careers.
