There is no charge for the Onboarding course; it is designed to help you be successful as an online learner.
You should be registered for Onboarding within 2 business days of being admitted or you can self-enroll for this free onboarding by going to https://moodle.lsua.edu/ and logging in. Search for Online Onboarding, click the title for Online Student Onboarding then click Enroll Me. The Onboarding takes about 2 and a half hours. You can stop and save your work and return later.
Once you complete the modules and earn at least 80%, you will receive a badge on your profile page in Moodle.

All students must be authorized to register each semester. Students declared in online programs can only register in sessions that begin with ELearn. ELearn1 is the first half of the semester, ELearn2 is the last half of the semester, ELearn0 matches the full semester start and end dates.
After you have your welcome call, you can get your class schedule/register for classes in one of the following three ways:
Self-Register: Check Degree Navigator (Communicator) or watch email for notification of course recommendations put in Degree Navigator. If you are comfortable with the recommendations, you can register yourself. If you encounter issues, email online@lsua.edu.
Meet with Your Advisor: Your assigned advisor’s contact info is in MyLSUA. Schedule an appointment via their Bookings link. If their calendar is full, choose a group session by completing the Group Scheduling Sign-up Form and choose a session at least 24 hours in advance of the session date/time. You will receive course recommendations, registration authorization, and overrides if needed.
Summer and fall registration typically opens in March, Spring registration typically opens in October.
The Registration deadline for all 7 week classes is 1 week prior to the first day of class. This allows you to get textbooks ordered and be ready for a successful term. It is recommended you register for the entire semester, as billing generates on an entire semester as opposed to sessions ELearn1 and ELearn2.
Click here to see instructions for how to register.
You will be given an option to purchase textbooks immediately after you register or there are 2 ways to purchase textbooks at a later time:
