Web Services Coordinator

LSU Alexandria is seeking applicants for the vacancy of Web Services Coordinator position within the Information and Educational Technology (IET) Services Department. This position is responsible for, but not limited to; managing and maintaining all university web sites and services. This includes graphical design, web page layout, CSS styling, HTML coding, web server management, C#/ASP.NET programming, database management and oversight of all web content.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelors’ degree, BA in Graphical Design, Communications, Computer Science or related field and a minimum of two (2) years of work experience, or five (5) or more years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. C#/ASP.NET programming experience required. Extensive knowledge of HTML/CSS and other web technology required. Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and IIS Server required.

LSUA employs four different types of personnel on campus.

  • Faculty Members - Members of the academic staff holding rank of instructor or above and equivalent ranks. Faculty may be 9 month or 12 month employees and they may teach and/or do research.
  • Professional Employees - Administrative officers and professional staff that are generally exempt from the provisions of the State Civil Service System. This category is formerly referred to as Unclassified Employees.
  • Classified Employees - Employees in positions covered by the provisions of Louisiana State Civil Service System.
  • Other Academic Employees - Part-time members of the academic staff or full-time members of instructional or research staff below the rank of Instructor. Examples are part-time instructors, teaching or research associates, library associates, lecturers, etc.
