The LSUA Foundation

The LSUA Foundation is a nonprofit organization that supports the university’s contributions to higher education in Central Louisiana and cultivates private financial support.

Aloysia Ducote is the current chairman of the LSUA Foundation Board of Directors. She is joined on the Executive Committee by Treasurer Lawrence Searcy, immediate past Chairman Charlie S. Weems, III, Chairman elect Spencer Martin, corporate secretary, Chancellor Dan Howard, and Foundation Executive Director Melinda F. Anderson.

“As universities continue to transition from being primarily funded by state appropriations to being primarily funded through self-generated revenues, the importance of philanthropic support has become even more relevant. All of our LSUA Foundation Board members bring a high level of talent, expertise, leadership and a commitment to helping us achieve the LSU Alexandria educational mission for Central Louisiana,” says Chancellor Howard. “We are extremely thankful to all board members for their selfless service to the entire campus community, especially the many students that are able to enroll and complete their degrees through the generosity of LSUA Foundation initiatives.
