The Friends of the James C. Bolton Library are gearing up for their second book sale.
The sale will be held in Oakland Hall room 109 on the LSUA campus from November 12-13. The hours are 10:00am until 6:00pm both days.
Proceeds from the book sale will go toward purchasing new equipment, supplies and library materials. These funds will also help to partially fund the professional development of library personnel as well as help sponsor educational events.
Thanks to funds raised in previous book sales, the Friends have been able to help fund landscaping near the library, purchase electronic books for LSUA nursing students, sponsor a lecture on Solomon Northup and more.
Additionally, patrons will have a chance to buy a raffle ticket for a handmade quilt to be raffled off December 9. The quilt was made by librarians Bonnie Hines, Debra Rollins (retired), and Nancy Rodonovich (retired). The quilting was done by Sonie Milton.
