Ms. LSU Alexandria Pageant offers a quality scholarship competition for female students. The winner of the Ms. LSU Alexandria Pageant earns a $1000 Chancellor's Scholarship. The First Runner-Up will receive a Chancellor's Scholarship in the amount of $250 per semester for a total of $500 for the year.

Ms LSUA 2016 - Brittany Daigrepont

Daigrepont named Ms. LSU Alexandria 2016

Brittany Marie Daigrepont is the newest Ms. LSUA having earned the title this past weekend.

The Marksville native is a junior majoring in Elementary Education and a member of the Associated Professional Educators of Louisiana. Her platform topic was “Stop Bullying: Give a Voice to Those Who Suffer in Silence.”

Brittany is the 56th Ms. LSUA and will represent the university at official school functions. She was one of seven contestants including: Nancy Banales, April Ann Gaspard, Katelyn Marie Thibodaux, Jordan Rae Lester, Alexa Nicole Roberts and Hallie Danielle Herring.

The winners included:

  • Miss Congeniality – Hallie Herring
  • Miss Photogenic – Brittany Daigrepont
  • Director’s Award – Jordan Lester
  • People’s Choice – Brittany Daigrepont
  • 2nd Runner Up – Hallie Herring
  • 1st Runner Up – Alexa Roberts
  • Ms. LSUA – Brittany Daigrepont


The winner receives  $1,500 scholarship with the first runner-up receiving a $1,000 scholarship and the second runner-up getting a $500 scholarship.

The Ms. LSUA Pageant is open to all female students regardless of age or marital status. Contestants compete in casual and evening wear categories and answer a question pertaining to their platform topic. Each contestant also participates in an interview with three judges prior to the pageant.  All participants have a mentor from the university faculty or staff.
