LSUA employs four different types of personnel on campus.

  • Faculty Members - Members of the academic staff holding rank of instructor or above and equivalent ranks. Faculty may be 9 month or 12 month employees and they may teach and/or do research.
  • Professional Employees - Administrative officers and professional staff that are generally exempt from the provisions of the State Civil Service System. This category is formerly referred to as Unclassified Employees.
  • Classified Employees - Employees in positions covered by the provisions of Louisiana State Civil Service System.
  • Other Academic Employees - Part-time members of the academic staff or full-time members of instructional or research staff below the rank of Instructor. Examples are part-time instructors, teaching or research associates, library associates, lecturers, etc.

Position Details

Business Department Full-time Faculty Positions

Louisiana State University at Alexandria is seeking applicants for tenure-track positions as assistant professors for Accounting, Economics, Finance, and Marketing in the Department of Business Administration for the fall 2013 semester.

Applicants should possess a terminal degree in Business with appropriate concentration or DBA (ABDs will be considered). Responsibilities include teaching and advising/mentoring students. Research and service to the school and community are also expected.

Applicants should submit a letter or application, a current resume, unofficial copies of all college transcripts, and three recent letters of reference to Dr. Robert Bush, Chair, Department of Business Administration, Louisiana State University of Alexandria, 8100 Highway 71 South, Alexandria, LA 71302.
